Volunteers from the community joined NMUSD families to beautify school sites as part of Love Our Schools Day, an event organized by Love Costa Mesa.
According to recently released 2022-23 standardized test data, NMUSD students continued to show growth in English, math and science scores.

In partnership with the Newport-Mesa Schools Foundation, NMUSD hosted its annual State of the Schools Breakfast at Costa Mesa High School, raising more than $51,000 toward the foundation’s Grants to Teachers Program.

For the 2022-2023 school year, six NMUSD schools were recognized by the California Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Coalition for successfully implementing Positive Behavior and Intervention Systems (PBIS) supports.

A record number of students kicked off the Elementary Summer Program last week.
Effective July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024, children enrolled in NMUSD schools are eligible for free or reduced-price meals if the household income is less than or equal to the federal guidelines.

The Maintenance and Operations team is responsible for maintaining district facilities and carrying out daily operations to provide a solid base for student success. During the summer of 2023, the team will completing a multitude of projects.
