YMCA - Morning and After School Childcare

At the YMCA, we are very proud of our rich history in delivering quality resources for children and families at Mariners. Mariners YMCA provides a safe, engaging, and fun environment from grades between TK and 6th- right on school campus! The YMCA offers several affordable care options, including financial assistance for qualifying families and work with 3rd party agencies.

Program Details: The YMCA is a curriculum-based afterschool care that offers a whole-child approach, which includes homework support, health and wellness programs, enrichment clubs, and service learning activities.

Hours: The YMCA offers a 2, 3, and a 5-day child care plan. Additionally, we remain open for full-day care during non-student days, holiday/school breaks, and summer break!

Before Care: 6:45 AM- Start of School

After Care: School Dismissal- 6:00 PM

Fully Day Care on Non-Student Days: 6:45 AM- 6:00 PM

Active Kids

Active Kids Active Kids Afterschool program provides a fun, safe, and educational environment for youth in grades K-6. Enjoy time with your friends in planned indoor and outdoor activities, homework assistance, and creative arts.

Program Details: Monday- Friday. From school dismissal to 6:00pm (Includes early-outs and non-student days). All sites are CLOSED on NMUSD holidays. Non-Student Days will be open at one site, TBA.

ACE After Class Enrichment

After Class Enrichment (ACE) is a series of programs through the City of Newport Beach designed to further enhance your child’s curriculum by providing high quality instruction in a variety of recreational activities held immediately after school dismissal. Your favorite instructors from the City of Newport Beach Recreation & Senior Services Department will host their class on campus, allowing your young ones the opportunity to expand their learning, discover a new hobby, and develop friendships for years to come.

Program Details: Monday- Friday (includes early-out days). Follows a trimester system of Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions. We offer multiple classes each day, and work with Mariners PTA to provide you with desirable classes each season!

The Watch Program, St. Andrew's Church

Monday - Friday | After School - 5:30 p.m.

The WATCH (Weekdays At The Church) is a Christian based after school program that ministers to the needs of working parents and their families in the community, providing care for children entering Kindergarten-6th grade. Each staff member is specially trained in child development and experienced in working with children in these grades.

It’s our priority to make sure that your child is safe at the WATCH Program. We will make sure that precautions, procedures, and policies will be in place. We have a limited allowed capacity for the program at this time.
