How can you get involved?
Mariners PTA would appreciate your support and there are a variety of ways in which you can engage:
- Sign up for weekly Mariners Reminders to learn about the latest school news and events.

- Join us for monthly PTA meetings on campus:
- PTA: Fourth Wednesday of every month at 8:45am in the PFT
- Attend Flag Deck on Friday mornings at 8:35 on the blacktop. This is a great way to see Mariners Pride in action!
- Participate in fundraising events.
- PTA fundraisers include the Annual Membership Drive, Charleston Wrap, Read-A-Thon, Jog-A-Thon, Winter Ski Gear Sale, Mabels Labels, and Popsicles in the Park,
- Register everyone in your family for a Mariners PTA membership. It’s only $12 per person! Joining PTA provides funds that go directly to student programs, but does not require any other commitment on your part. #getconnectedstayconnected!
- Sign up to volunteer – Whether you’re available to be on campus or can organize something at home, there are opportunities for you! Volunteer positions are available through PTA, MESF, and in your child’s classroom. Please reach out to us if you would like to get involved.
A few points to note:
- Both the Weekly Reminders (generally sent on Sunday evenings) and eblasts (sent as needed) will come from marinersreminders@gmail.com.
- They will always have "Mariners" in the title.
- The communications are provided by the Mariners PTA as a service to the school community. They are not sent by Mariners staff but rather by a PTA volunteer.
- Your email will not be shared with anyone. Only the administrator has access to the list.
- You may unsubscribe at any time - an unsubscribe link is included at the bottom of every Mariners Weekly Reminders and eblast.
Weekly Reminders and eblast Guidelines
Weekly Reminders and eblast communications are provided by the Mariners PTA as a service to the school community. They are sent by a PTA volunteer parent, not a school employee. For this reason, we ask that the following guidelines be followed for submissions:

Weekly Reminders are sent on Sunday evenings, with a few holiday weekend exceptions. Submissions for the Weekly Reminders should be sent only to marinersreminders@gmail.com, the prior TUESDAY. This timeline is important and late submissions may be refused.

Individual eblasts (those that are sent out as needed rather than with the Weekly Reminders on Sunday evenings) will be approved on a case-by-case basis. In general, they are restricted to those topics that directly pertain to Mariners Elementary school.

All e-blasts must be submitted with approval from Mariners front office 48 hours before the blast date. The amount of publicity will be decided by the Principal and Mariners Elementary PTA. (Truly urgent issues will be sent as soon as possible.)

Specific placement within an email and frequency of distribution will be decided by the Principal and Mariners Elementary PTA

We are no longer able to e-blast fundraisers and events for other schools or organizations. Requests to promote fundraising which does not directly pertain to Mariners will be directed to PeachJar.
