Welcome to the PTA!
PTA is the largest children’s advocacy group in the nation. Your membership dues support our programs directly and a portion goes toward supporting legislation that advocates for our children.
Mariners PTA supports the educational efforts for the teachers in the classroom. The PTA tries to increase parent involvement through communication and volunteer opportunities. The PTA funds many programs and events that enrich and enhance the education of Mariners students. The money raised through our fundraisers pay for these programs.
The PTA has two major fundraisers: the gift wrap sale in the fall, and the Jog-a-thon in the spring. Every penny that is donated to our school through fundraisers or other ways stays at our school.
What does our PTA fund?
Some of the many programs funded by the PTA include:
- Art Masters
- Project Read
- Science on the Go
- Walk Through Programs
- Authors Day
- Reflections Program
- Bike Rodeo
- Computer Lab Teacher
- Red Ribbon Week
- Lunch Time Art Activities
- School Play
The PTA also provides the Weekly Reminders and the Monthly Mariners Log. The Fall Festival, a fun family night, is also supported by the PTA.
